In the lab

Too much reading through the laptop screen makes my eye tired. Then, I take a nap about 15 minutes. Abir by lab colleague offers me to hear Quran recitation. Make me so calm. Abir comes from Libya. She is pursuing her PhD degree. We share same supervisor, same laboratory but totally different field of research interest. She is interested on organic compound in which I totally don’t have any idea. Organic chemistry is something alien to me indeed I'm not in pure chemistry previously. I only love chemistry that has relation in environmental field particularly inorganic compound. Abir has only son of 6 years old. I haven’t met her family yet. One day she will invite me for iftar. She was so shocked when I told her I had 3 kids on the first day we met.

Yesterday Prof brought the stuff for my experimental work. Unfortunately, there are a lot of chemicals that I need not in the boxes that being kept by his previous PhD student. We need to order them and it may take another 2 weeks to have them on the laboratory bench. That’s mean in 2 weeks time all I need to do is reading, searching, reading again and taking notes. Grhhhhh.....
